Higher quality, broader range
Due to a new tender, after which MAAS was once again selected as the supplier, we were given the opportunity to switch to higher‑quality coffee machines.
There has long been a wish to install machines with a broader range of options, including decaffeinated choices, plant‑based milk, and more varieties of tea.
Three high‑quality coffee machines have now been installed in the Van Steenis building:
- Ground floor: under the stairs, a paid machine. Staff, including those from the C wing, can use their coffee card here free of charge.
- First floor: at the pantry at the back of the B wing.
- Second floor: at the pantry in the A wing.
We deliberately chose a smaller number of higher‑end machines (which are more expensive) so that they will be used more intensively, lowering the average cost per cup. This allows us to offer better quality at acceptable increased costs. Several old machines have been removed.
In addition, in recent months we have replaced refrigerators and installed microwaves in various locations, fulfilling another long‑standing wish.
