Short survey on Laboratory Use within the Faculty of Humanities
Due to prospective redevelopment of the Sylvius building, the SSH labs currently housed there will have to be relocated elsewhere within the next five years. Additionally, from 2028 onwards, the labs in the HumanitiesHub and the Experimental Linguistics Lab will be housed in the Aleida Nijland building. This transition offers us the opportunity to reflect on what types of laboratories and facilities should be developed at the new site. We aim to gather input from the broader community: would you complete the short survey on laboratory use within the Faculty?
We are currently looking into the possibility of housing some of the SSH-labs and equipment in the Agora building. This might entail some minor construction work, which will likely be planned in 2029. However, the Agora building, now the main location for FSW, is outdated and no longer meets current standards. Hence, moving the SSH-labs to that location will be temporary. The search for a new location for after 2035 is ongoing.
Survey on Laboratory Use
Our faculty would like to hear about the needs and wishes of researchers regarding research in laboratories. Are you a researcher at the Faculty of Humanities, do you sometimes conduct research in the SSH labs, the HumanitiesHub, or the Experimental Linguistics Lab, or do you expect to do so in the future? If so, we would very much like to hear your views on the types of laboratories and facilities you would like to seeāboth now and in the future. Will you complete the short survey?
