Wassenaarseweg closed from 26 September to 7 October

25 August 2026

From 26 September up to and including 7 October, the Wassenaarseweg will be closed between Sylviusweg and Niels Bohrweg. This will affect access to the Faculty.

The road is being closed because the fairground trailers for the 3 October fair in Leiden will be temporarily parked on this section of the Wassenaarseweg.

Fairground trailers

The fairground trailers will be parked on the Wassenaarseweg between Sylviusweg and Niels Bohrweg. Steel road plates will be installed between the cycle path and the road to provide access for the trailers. These will be removed by 7 October at the latest.

Access to Gorlaeus Building car park and logistics centre

The car park underneath the Gorlaeus Building and the logistics centre will remain accessible, but during this period they can only be accessed via Niels Bohrweg. The barriers at the car park next to the Gorlaeus Building will remain open throughout this period.

Cyclists will be diverted via Einsteinweg and Niels Bohrweg.

Traffic measures

The municipality will put up diversion signs and deploy traffic marshals. They will be present around the clock to manage traffic and help ensure everyone's safety.
