New Basic Administration System BAS InSite goes live on 5 January
On 5 January 2026, Leiden University will start to use its new administration system: BAS InSite. From that date, all staff members will arrange their HR and financial administration tasks and procurement within one central, user-friendly environment, which they can access via their computer, tablet or smartphone. BAS InSite will replace SAP Self Service and parts of the Service Portal.
Finding your way around BAS InSite
After working with SAP for more than 20 years, becoming accustomed to BAS InSite may take a while. We will naturally need time to start using, learning and discovering the system together. BAS InSite is user-friendly and highly intuitive. As the user, you will discover a self-explanatory system that provides simple support for your personal administration.
We are taking this step together, towards a future-proof business management system, which enables us to build further on collaboration. This will create more space and time for all staff members to focus on their core tasks, such as research and education.
If you encounter any problems in using the new system, please consult the ‘Who-what-where’ card in the Helpdesk Portal via knowledge item.
