Do you want pursue an academic career or are you not sure? It is important to start thinking about next steps in your career on time. Leiden University wants to support you in this process by organizing a career orientation workshop for postdocs on Tuesday 14 May 9.00  - 12.00 at PLNT.

The primary goal of the workshop is to become aware of entrepreneurship as a career prospect and to understand what it entails. During this interactive session you will:

• Learn about the entrepreneurial roadmap and different phases of an innovative startup.
• Explore the overlap and contrast between behaviours and ways of thinking of scientists and entrepreneurs.
• Discuss how scientists can benefit from an entrepreneurial mindset, as well as the added value of a scientific background for entrepreneurs.
• Learn about the steps scientists need to take when transitioning from research to entrepreneurship and how PLNT, LEH, Luris and other organizations can support you in this transition.
