From 24 November to 12 December 2025, Leiden University’s The Hague Campus will host the project HEAR ME NOW, which aims to create open dialogue about sexual misconduct within and around the university community.

In addition to a powerful exhibition and workshops for students, we are offering a series of trainings for staff. These sessions provide in-depth exploration of how to identify, address, and prevent sexual misconduct.

We warmly invite professionals from across the university to participate, including lecturers, study advisers, student counsellors, confidential counsellors, HR staff, management, security, and facilities staff. A mixed group ensures rich conversations and diverse perspectives.

What is this training about?

The training for professionals, developed by Centrum 16.22, aims to equip staff with practical tools to:

  • Recognize and prevent sexual misconduct
  • Respond effectively to incidents of boundary-crossing behaviour
  • Initiate and guide conversations about the topic

The training also addresses the role of men in preventing sexual misconduct, using the pyramid of violence as a conceptual framework.

Participants will practice professional responses through case studies. The session is highly interactive: participants engage in active learning methods, reflect on their professional role, and learn how to address one another constructively within this sensitive context.
