Kaltura Live Room

Kaltura Live Room is an online tool for giving lectures or holding seminars and meetings online. You can have up to 200 participants in regular rooms and 350 in the so-called ‘Large Live Rooms’ (with 25 people on screen at the same time).

Kaltura Live Room no longer available

From 1 August 2025, Kaltura Live Room will no longer be available. However, Kaltura as a video portal will remain available. This means that all recordings of Kaltura Live Room sessions will remain available on Kaltura after 1 August. For educational activities, Zoom is the preferred application for video conferencing.

Contact your faculty’s video coordinator for more information on using Kaltura for larger groups (more than 200 people).

In this environment, you can teach using various tools, such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word and whiteboards. You can also use video and audio recordings, share your desktop, incorporate quizzes and use breakout rooms for group discussions. Live rooms can also be recorded so that they can be watched later.
