Degree programmes
Teaching at Leiden University is diverse and multifaceted. All accredited bachelor’s and master’s programmes are recorded in the Leids Register Opleidingen (Leiden Study Programme Register). Any new programmes you register will also be included here. In addition to the regular curriculum, students can broaden their studies with a minor or take on an extra challenge through honours education.
Vision on education
Our educational vision, Learning@LeidenUniversity, centers on inquiry-based learning where research and teaching are closely interwoven. We aim to develop students' academic and personal skills through activating teaching methods, flexible learning pathways, and a strong international orientation. By integrating technology and societal engagement into our curriculum, we prepare students for the future labor market and their role in society.
Student success
To provide students with the best possible support on the path to their degree, we focus on high study success rates and excellent support throughout their studies. Through tools such as the Leiden Study System and the Teachers’ Academy, we offer targeted guidance to students and encourage lecturers to continuously improve their teaching through educational innovation.
