'GDPR is no excuse for not tracing children placed in care'

In the remarkably slow handling of two painful issues, the Dutch benefits affair and the sanctions against Russian oligarchs, the protection of privacy plays a leading role. This excuse is unjustified says Simone van der Hof, Professor of Law and the Information Society, and others in an opinion piece in Dutch newspaper Trouw.
