Psychology information, guidelines and policies soon to be available in one place
You are going to share data with others and are looking for Psychology guidelines. You are giving a public talk and have a question about earned funds (inverdiengelden). Or you are working on your course and want to check the latest education policy updates. From this autumn onwards, you will find this and other institute information clearly organised on the new SharePoint site ‘Psychology Inside’.
At the moment, it is not always easy to quickly find the right and most up-to-date information from the Institute of Psychology. Documents are spread across the university website, emails, Teams channels and personal folders. That is why work is now under way to create one clear and central place for the institute’s information, guidelines and policies: Psychology Inside.
From searching to overview
With Psychology Inside, you will no longer need to save copies of documents or ask colleagues where to find information. From now on, you will find the most recent information on the institute’s SharePoint. It is divided into the topics organisation, human resources, finance, research and education, with the relevant documents for each topic. You will also find information about who to contact with questions, as well as links to faculty information sources.
The site has been developed in consultation with policy staff, secretariats, researchers and communications staff, so that its structure fits day-to-day practice as closely as possible.
First step towards an university intranet
The SharePoint is a temporary solution while there is no university-wide intranet. The university is currently developing a plan for this. As the expected timeline is two years, the Executive Board of the Institute has created a simple but practical interim solution so that all institute-specific documents have a fixed place. Once the university intranet is available, the content of the Psychology SharePoint can easily be transferred.
What will you need to do?
A new place for information also means a change in the way we work. This will require some effort at first, but it will save you time in the long run. So add Psychology Inside to your browser bookmarks and use the page as your first place to look when you need institute information, guidelines or policies. Do not save your own copies of documents. This way, we all work from one up-to-date source of information and know where to find information from the Institute of Psychology.
Expected launch
Psychology Inside is expected to be available this autumn. As part of the introduction, you will receive the link and more information through your secretariat or other channels.
