Course evaluation
Evaluating a course is done through a set procedure. Read the step-by-step explanation.
Step 1
Prior to the new academic year, the SSC opens the scheduled courses in Time Edit (TE). The course coordinator can open the Time Edit Dashboard. Under ‘Submit Evaluation Request’, select the course for which evaluations are to be requested and complete the course information requested.
This course information consists of:
- name(s) of lecturers/workgroup teachers
- course objectives
- literature used
- list of workgroups
- extra questions (if applicable)
Step 2
Once the subject information is completed and sent in TE (no later than 5 weeks before the evaluation moment), the SSC checks the data in TE. After this, the process is transferred to LLinC, which produces the forms and sends them (no later than 1 week before the evaluation moment) to the SSC.
If a teacher does not respond in time to SSC's request for information, SSC cannot guarantee that the evaluation forms will be delivered on time.
Step 3
The course coordinator will receive a notification via email when the evaluations are ready at the SSC. All evaluations can be collected from the teachers' desk, opposite room OA.28. With the exception of the evaluations of Bachelor IRO Political Science and MA Political Science International Organisation. These can be picked up in The Hague.
Step 4
The teacher (or invigilator present at the exam) collects all the filled out evaluation forms and makes sure that these are all submitted to the SSC at the same time. The SSC takes the forms to LLInC to have them processed.
Step 5
The LLInC conducts the analysis of the forms and sends the report of the evaluation by mail to the SSC and the coordinator. The SSC forwards the report to the secretary of the programme committee.
Step 6
Finally, LLInC returns the original evaluation forms to the SSC.
