Weblectures and livestreams
The university's larger lecture halls are equipped with fixed Mediasite recording equipment for creating weblectures and livestreaming lectures.
Besides being made available as weblecture recordings, lectures can be offered via livestream (with 30-60 sec. delay) to students who are at home or in another room in the Pieter de la Court building.
Web lecture recordings and livestreams are scheduled in advance by SOLO and then run automatically. Post-processing and posting (in Brightspace) is also taken care of by SOLO. Please note that room reservations are not made through SOLO but through the schedulers at your own institute.
Apply in time to make sure everything is ready for the start of the new block.
Recording and livestreaming from smaller rooms
To set up a hybrid class (with participation of on campus as well as online students) or record a lecture in a room without Mediasite equipment, you will need webcam equipment and one of Leiden University's video tools.
All teaching rooms in the Pieter de la Court building have webcam equipment available.
