Help and support

Leiden University wants to ensure you can do your work safely and with the right support. Here you will find information on who to contact in case of problems, questions, or emergencies, as well as answers to questions such as: What should I do in the event of a work-related accident? Where can I go for ICT questions? And who are the safety coordinators within my faculty?

Reporting incidents and accidents

Whether it concerns a dangerous situation, theft, a data breach, or inappropriate behaviour: it is important to know where to report it. On this page, you can read exactly who to call in urgent emergencies (such as 112 or the internal emergency number) and where to register non-urgent incidents, such as material damage or unsafe situations, online.

Health and safety coordinators

Do you have questions about safe working practices, hazardous substances, or working conditions at your location? The Health and safety coordinators advise you on these matters and often act as prevention officers. Here you will find an overview of the coordinators per building or faculty, allowing you to contact the right person directly for advice.

ERO coordinators

In the event of emergencies such as fire or accidents, effective Emergency Response (BHV) is vital. The ERO coordinators are responsible for organizing this within the faculties and departments. On this page, you will find a list of all coordinators per location, including links to their contact details.

Helpdesks

Do you have a broken laptop, questions about your salary slip, or a facilities request? There is a specialized point of contact for every type of question. Here you will find an overview of all helpdesks, from ICT (ISSC) and HR to Finance and Real Estate, and learn how you can often quickly find the answer or solution yourself via the Self Service portals.
