Registration open for the redesigned 'Testing & Assessment' module

LLInC has redesigned the Testing and Assessment module within the BKO programme in response to a growing challenge in higher education: the rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into teaching, learning, and assessment.

What can you expect?

As questions around validity, reliability, transparency, and the role of assessment as a tool for learning become more urgent, the updated module explicitly addresses how AI is reshaping assessment practices.

The redesigned training aims to strengthen teachers’ assessment literacy while supporting them in critically engaging with both the opportunities and limitations of AI. Participants work on core assessment skills such as aligning assessment with learning objectives, constructing clear and coherent test questions, developing transparent answer models and rubrics, and interpreting commonly used variables in psychometric test analysis.

What are the latest additions to the course?

To closely connect theory with current teaching practice, two new learning activities have been introduced:

  • In a discussion-based session, participants exchange experiences and perspectives on how AI is influencing assessment, addressing themes such as academic integrity, fairness, feedback, and the evolving role of assessment.
  • A second, reflection-based activity focuses on rubric design, inviting participants to compare their own rubrics with AI-generated versions and evaluate clarity, alignment, transparency, and reliability.
