Storage and data recovery

As a standard, your workplace comes equipped with a limited amount of disk space. We offer a number of options for extending your disk space. In addition, ISSC can help you recover lost files. You can also securely store your files in the cloud via OneDrive and Teams. Whichever storage you use, be aware of the privacy rules.

Data storage services

OneDrive

OneDrive is the university cloud storage at Microsoft that allows you to securely store, sync and share files. When you store your data in OneDrive, you always have online access to your files. You get 1TB or 1024 GB of storage space by default. OneDrive is part of Office and works flawlessly with the Office apps on multiple laptops, smartphones and tablets. OneDrive is your personal online storage: you decide which files or folders in OneDrive you want to share with others. You can upload files from Windows Explorer or Mac Finder and download them again if you wish. Please find out more on the Helpdesk portal.

Sharing files in Teams
Want to work on save shared files with your teammates? Then use the files tab in Teams.
You can also work together on a document online in a browser via Teams. Be careful not to store contracts, research data with a security risk or other privacy-sensitive documents in Teams or OneDrive. See also: Information security and privacy.
