As the leader of a large, externally funded consortium or complex collaborative project, would you like some assistance? The Research Project Management Pool is here to provide support.
The highly experienced research project managers at Luris will take over many of the administrative tasks, helping to ensure that the project management runs smoothly. This will make it easier and more attractive for researchers to lead large projects and will improve their chances of success with grant applications.
Why this pool?
Researchers don’t always have access to local project management. This pool of experienced project managers within Luris will provide professional support and thus reduce the administrative burden for researchers. Each project manager can support several projects at the same time.
The service is supplementary to the existing project management capacity in institutes and faculties. By bringing different projects together, it ensures that expertise is built, expanded and retained within the pool, rather than being lost.
Who can use the pool?
Researchers who have been awarded external funding for a complex collaborative project (with capacity and budget for project management) can request the support of a project manager from the pool.
What are the benefits of working with a project manager?
Working with a project manager from the pool avoids the need for a lengthy recruitment process. A project manager can be selected on the basis of availability and expertise, and will be ready to start work on the first day of the project. The project manager will be available throughout the entire project and may even be able to provide support in the start-up phase.
What are the application criteria?
Researchers can request project support from the pool in cases where:
- Support is not available within the faculty or institute.
- The project is externally funded and has budget for project management.
The services are tailored to each project, depending on the project manager’s availability and expertise, the project requirements and the budget.
