Information about salary payment in January 2026

23 January 2026

The salaries for January 2026 will be paid on Friday 23 January. From that date, your payslip will be available in BAS InSite. The amounts for wage tax and contributions may be different from those in 2025 because of changes that have been made in wage tax by the Tax & Customs Administration and in contributions by ABP.

You can find more information about your payslip and a detailed explanation of it (QRC) in the ‘Salary Payslip and annual tax statement’ knowledge item and also on the staff website.

Points for attention due to the switch from SAP to BAS InSite

As a result of the switch to BAS InSite, your payslip may look different from what you expect. There can be various reasons for this. The points for attention are listed below.

Expense claims

Expense claims are paid separately from the salary, although your payslip will show a summary of the expense claims submitted in that month. If you submitted any expense claims in BAS InSite in January, you will see a summary of these expense claims on your January payslip.

Parental leave

If you had parental leave in 2025, which is continuing in 2026, you received a task in BAS InSite to resubmit your request with effect from 1 January 2026. If you had completely finalised this task before 14 January, it will be included in your January salary processing. If you did not finalise the task on time, it will be processed with retroactive effect in February.

New employee from January 2026

Are you a new employee or has a new employee joined your team from January 2026? If the onboarding was completely finished by 16 January, the salary payment will take place in January.

Multiple employment contracts

If you have multiple employment contracts, you will receive one single salary payment. The payslip will show a separate calculation for each employment contract.

Parking subscription for multiple employment contracts

Do you have multiple employment contracts and have you applied for a parking subscription in BAS InSite? Then it's possible that a deduction was made for the parking subscription per employment contract. This will be corrected retroactively in the February salary payment.

Shuttel

As usual, you will receive the payments for commuting and home-working days with your salary in the month after you logged those days in Shuttel. It is important here that you also assigned a classification to your trips (business, commute or personal). Trips made by public transport using your Shuttel card are processed directly and are not shown on your payslip. You can find more information about Shuttel on the ‘Commuting allowance’ page of the staff website.

2025 payslips and annual tax statement

We expect that the payslips and annual tax statement for 2025 will be available in BAS InSite in February. You will then see them in your file.

Individual choice model

The opening of the individual choice model in BAS InSite on 15 January was just before the closing date for salary payments this month. Therefore, one or more applications you submitted for the salary source may not be settled in January. This will then take place in February.

Are you leaving employment?

Please note: if you will be leaving employment before February 2026, you should make sure that your personal details are recorded correctly in the system. This is important because documents, such as your 2025 annual tax statement and your final payslip, will be sent to you after you leave.
