Accounts InView / Legal Intelligence soon to be anonymous

7 July 2026

When new users log in to Wolters Kluwer InView and Legal Intelligence via SURFconext, the login process is now anonymous. No personal data is transferred anymore. This is not yet the case for current users, but that will change in July and August. All existing accounts will be automatically anonymised, which means your personal settings could be removed if no action is taken. Fortunately, it is possible to transfer your settings to Legal Intelligence.

What will change

  • After anonymisation, your favourite sources on the start page and any labels, notes, and highlights created in InView will be deleted.
  • Email notifications from your favourite sources will automatically stop.

What action to take

  • If you anonymise your account yourself, your email address and your first and last name will be removed from Wolters Kluwer’s systems, and you will be able to log in anonymously via SURFconext.
  • By doing this manually, your personal settings—such as favourite sources and any labels, notes, and highlights created in InView—will remain intact.
  • Important: Because your email address will no longer be used, notifications from Wolters Kluwer sources will no longer function.
  • However: You can continue receiving notifications by configuring them in Legal Intelligence.
