New opening hours for Oude UB restaurant from 24 August
The restaurant in the Oude UB will reopen on 24 August. From then on, it will be open from Monday to Thursday.
Due to low demand, food waste remains higher than we'd like. We have therefore decided to close the restaurant on Fridays. The restaurant seating area will remain available as usual.
If you would like to buy lunch on a Friday, you can choose from several alternatives:
- Order lunch online: use our new online service to order sandwiches, salads and other lunch items. Orders can be collected from the Oude UB reception at 12:00 noon.
- Faculty Club lunch: Oude UB staff can take advantage of a special lunch offer at the Faculty Club. This includes soup of the day, a homemade filled roll served with salad and a glass of orange juice for €9.95.
- Other university cafés and restaurants: several university cafés and restaurants are open on Fridays within a five-minute walk, including: Restaurant KOG, Restaurant Lipsius, Café UBé and Café du Sud (Herta Mohr).
Internal catering orders for meetings and events charged to a cost centre can continue to be placed in the usual way.
