Bibliometric Data Sources and Indicators 2024
We are pleased to announce the 2024 edition of the course Bibliometric Data Sources and Indicators, which is part of the CWTS course program. This course will be held on-site, in Leiden, the Netherlands, on 12 and 13 June 2024. In fall 2024, CWTS will organize another edition of the course Bibliometric Data Sources and Indicators which will be held online, during office hours in the Americas.

Aim
This two-day course provides an introduction to bibliometric data sources and indicators. The course covers the fundamentals that professional users of bibliometrics need to be familiar with. After completing the course, you will:
- know the various bibliometric databases and their strengths and weaknesses;
- have a solid understanding of the definition, calculation and interpretation of a wide range of citation and journal indicators.
Audience
The course aims to serve (university) librarians, research policy staff and anyone else with a professional interest in bibliometrics.

Course fee
The course fee is € 1000 excluding 21% VAT. This includes coffee, tea and lunch during the course and a course dinner with the lecturers. The maximum number of participants is 20. The course will be hosted on-site. Participants are expected to bring their own laptop, which is required for some of the practical exercises.

After completing the course, you will receive a certificate of participation by email.
