On Tuesday 23 January, the salaries for January 2024 will be paid out. From the same day, the salary statement/pay slip will be available in Self Service. On your salary statement you will see a few changes compared to 2023:

• As of 1 January 2024 less payroll tax is withheld. This results in a lower amount of wage taxes that are deducted than in 2023. (This only applies when you have opted-in on the payroll tax credit / tax-free allowance).
• As of 1 January 2024 the pension contribution is slightly lower than in 2023. However, in percentage terms university salaries have increased more than this decrease in pension contribution due to the new CAO agreement (Collective Labour Agreement), which results in a higher pension contribution in 2024.

Annual tax statement 2023

We are currently working hard to prepare the annual income overview/annual tax statement 2023. The statement is expected to be available in Self Service (via Remote Workplace) at the end of February/beginning of March 2024. As soon as the annual tax statement 2023 is available it will be announced on the website.

Is your contract ending?

Pleas note: if your contract ends before mid-February, please make sure that your current home address is in our personnel system. Your annual tax statement will be sent to the address that is registered in our personnel system. You can change your address in Self Service, follow the instructions in the Helpdesk portal. Make sure you do that before your contract ends as well as your access to Self Service.
