Employee Experience Survey: share your experiences of working at Leiden University

6 May 2025

You will receive an invitation today (Tuesday 6 May) from our partner Welliba to take our Employee Experience Survey, and have until 20 May to do so. Sharing your opinions is more important than ever. The survey is fully anonymous: your answers cannot be traced back to you, nor can your manager view them.

Why take the survey?

The survey is not just about completing the questionnaire: it is the chance to have an honest conversation with your colleagues and manager about how things are going. The two teams with the highest responses will win a voucher for a team lunch or drinks.

What questions can you expect in the survey?

The survey covers working conditions, well-being, collaboration, communication, career development and leadership. There are also questions about work-related stress and dignity and respect because giving the Netherlands Labour Authority a representative picture of this is important. To do so, we need a minimum response of 50% throughout the organisation.

Why questions about personal aspects?

The Employee Experience Survey also includes questions about your energy level and sense of meaning. Your experience at work is also affected by personal aspects: your resilience, how you feel and your connection with others. But your work environment is also relevant. A shared office can mean lots of stimuli, leaving you feeling drained. You may decide to find somewhere quieter to work from time to time.

Personal dashboard

The Employee Experience Survey gives you access to a personal dashboard with your results and the factors that influence your experience at work. You will also receive recommended reading (articles and websites), listening/viewing (podcasts and videos) or learning (training and e-learning). You will be able to access the dashboard once you have completed the questionnaire.
