Europe Hub MA thesis prize 2025: Call for Submissions
Leiden University’s Europe Hub invites submissions from all faculties for its annual Europe Hub master's thesis prize by 1 September 2025.
Eligibility and Conditions
- 
 Open to: All master’s theses submitted for evaluation at any Leiden University faculty within the 12 months prior to 1 September 2025. 
- 
 Themes: The thesis must address at least one of the Europe Hub’s thematic priorities: - 
  Europe in the world 
- 
  Markets, trade, and digitalisation 
- 
  Energy, environment, and health 
- 
  The foundations of European integration

- 
  
- 
 Mark: The thesis must have received a grade of at least 8.0. 
- 
 Preference: Theses with an interdisciplinary approach are prioritised in the evaluation. 
Prizes
- 
 Winner: Certificate and €250 prize money 
- 
 Runners-up (2nd and 3rd place): Certificates 
How to Submit
- 
 Deadline: 1 September 2025 
- 
 Send to: europehub@leidenuniv.nl by the thesis author or their thesis supervisor. 
- 
 Required documents: - 
  A PDF of the thesis 
- 
  A recommendation letter from the supervisor, highlighting the strengths of the thesis 
- 
  A motivation letter from the student summarising, in particular, the interdisciplinary aspects of the thesis and the thesis' relevance to the Europe Hub's thematic priorities as specified in its mission statement.
