There are currently three different ongoing real estate–related projects within Agora, and a fourth one will be starting soon. Below is an overview:

1) Replacement of Lighting
Green light for new lighting in Agora - Leiden University

2) Replacement of Sunshades of the Exterior of the Building

From Tuesday 28 April until the end of June, the sunshades will be replaced. By the end of this week, the scaffolding will be completed and fencing will be placed around it. As a result, the bicycle shed will be fully accessible again.

In the coming period, some disturbance may be experienced due to drilling and people working on the scaffolding. In addition, staff will enter some offices to replace the sunshades.

3) Testing of the Evacuation System

In an earlier message, it was announced that the central evacuation system would be replaced during weeks 14 to 17. This work is now nearly completed. Final tests are currently being carried out, which means that occasional noise or voice messages may be heard throughout the building.

4) Testing of Building-Related Installations – Heijmans

Between week 19 and week 25, the NEN3140 inspection must be carried out. This means that Heijmans staff will need access to workspaces such as offices. We kindly request that you allow these employees to enter so they can perform the inspection.
