Video: Why more women have ADHD than you think

When we think of ADHD, we often think of highly creative, hyperactive boys rushing around and bouncing off the walls with a seemingly endless supply of energy. But does this mean that girls don’t have ADHD at all?

This is the question that content creator Lise van Wijk put to neuroscientist Lara Wierenga. She explains in a University of the Netherlands video how common ADHD is in girls and why most women do not find out until later.
