FSW launches Booster Grant for interdisciplinary research into Inequality and Diversity
The Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences is making five one-off Booster Grants available for research within the theme of “Social transitions, inequality and diversity”. Interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary groups of researchers can apply for a grant. The Matchmaking Event on 31 March will focus on bringing researchers together and providing them with information.
The FSW Vision and Strategy Plan 2022-2027 established the overarching theme ‘Societal Transitions, Inequality and Diversity' as one of the main themes in research, education, and societal engagement at the Faculty. Within this theme five urgent transitions have been identified in which FSW researchers can make a particularly valuable contribution:
- Climate change and sustainability (including sustainable energy)
- Citizenship & polarisation
- Digitalisation (AI, technology and nanotechnology)
- Migration & integration
- Erosion of democracy
Each of these transitions relates to the element of Inequality and Diversity. The faculty wishes to explore the interconnections between these transitions. For this reason, it is making available five booster grants. More information can be found here: Call FSW Booster Grant Societal Transitions, Inequality and Diversity.docx.
