Good education starts with good educators. The university has taken various steps in recent years to help our teaching staff develop. But new teaching staff require particular attention, say staff who work on teacher professionalisation.

On April 13, 84 students from 4th and 5th year pre-university education participated in the Bachelor Trial Study Day. They attended two trial lectures and asked questions to a student panel to get an idea of ​​the study programme and career opportunities.

The academic year officially commences on 1 September and ends on 31 August. On collective closing days the university is closed and no lectures take place. The academic calendar applies to the whole university and to all study programmes with the exception of medicine.

Five teams of teachers are getting started with their educational innovations in the coming academic year, thanks to the Grassroots and Grassshoots grants. This year is particularly special: the grant programme is celebrating its tenth anniversary and has now run for thirteen rounds.
