Salary increase and one-off payment in August and September
On 23 July 2025, a final agreement was reached on the 2025-2026 Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU). This includes agreements on a structural salary increase of 2% and €100 gross per month as well as a one-time payment of up to €350 gross (based on a 38-hour contract, adjusted proportionally for part-time staff).
Salary increase as of August 2025
The 2% pay increase and €100 gross per month (adjusted for part-time contracts) will be paid with your salary on Friday 22 August. These increases are effective from 1 July 2025 and will therefore be paid retroactively in August.
One-off payment in September 2025
All staff employed by the university on 1 July 2025 will receive a one-off gross payment of up to €350 (based on a 38-hour contract, adjusted proportionally for part-time staff) with their September 2025 salary.
Payment of special allowances as of August and September 2025
Allowances calculated as a percentage of salary or based on hours will be adjusted to the new amount in August.
Some staff receive fixed-amount allowances. These will be paid with their September salary, retroactively effective from 1 July 2025.
