As of 1 October, Daniel Mandel has been appointed Director of Management Support. Daniel began his career at Leiden University in 2005, when he became Head of Legal Affairs within the Management Support Department. He has shown a strong commitment to the high-quality support the Management Support Department provides to the Executive Board across a wide range of areas. In his new role, he aims to further strengthen this support and will work with his team towards fostering a workplace built on collaboration, trust and professional autonomy. ‘I look forward to contributing to a future-oriented, stable and accessible university organisation where service quality and staff engagement go hand in hand with management support’, Daniel said.
