Workshop: The new lecturer’s guide to teaching tutorial groups
Are you new to teaching and looking for practical support and guidance on teaching tutorial groups? Sign up below for the (Dutch-taught) workshop ‘Eerste hulp bij Werkgroepen’.
Who, what, where?
The workshop sessions are designed specifically for aspiring and new lecturers (e.g. temporary ‘peak’ lecturers, student assistants, master's students, and PhD candidates). They are led by Heleen Verkiel, a higher education trainer and consultant with expertise in course design, teaching, and student guidance.
After the workshop you know how to:
- prepare your teaching
- help students in their learning process
- respond to student behaviour
- motivate students
- stay in control as a teacher
- feel confident when teaching a tutorial group
Location: Academy Building, Leiden
Programme: Three two-hour sessions
- 8 September: part 1 | 9.00-11.00 or 11.00-13.00
- 10 September:part 2 | 9.00 -11.00 or 11.00-13.00
- 18 September: tips & tricks and intervision session | 10.00 -12.00
