Network maintenance in the evening and at night 21-25 September
Are you working in the evening or at night between 21 and 25 September? Please bear in mind that network connections may be briefly interrupted. Save your work in good time and, where possible, avoid planning work that depends on a stable network connection between 22.00 and 07.00 hrs.
When might you experience disruption?
The work will take place in the evenings and at night from 21 to 25 September, each time between 22.00 and 07.00 hrs. During this maintenance, brief interruptions to the network connection may occur.
What may be temporarily less accessible?
Because of these brief interruptions, some digital services may be temporarily less accessible. This may affect:
- connections to University systems and storage environments;
- connections between different University locations and systems;
- access to the internet and external services.
Why is this maintenance necessary?
To keep the University network secure and reliable, the ISSC will install security updates on parts of the network infrastructure.
To minimise the impact on staff, students and teaching activities, the work will take place outside regular office hours.
