Pilot of New Reporting Portal Launches at The Hague
Submit Facilities Requests Online
From 5 October, staff working in at The Hague are able to submit facilities requests and report issues via an online portal. Previously, these requests were submitted through the Service Desk as standard. The new portal is designed to make reporting facilities issues and submitting requests easier and more efficient.
We are launching the new reporting portal as a pilot within two faculties in order to identify and resolve any issues before making it available to all staff.
What does this mean for you?
Until now, if you had a facilities-related request or issue, such as a faulty light, a cleaning request or a query about a room, you would contact the Service Desk directly, either in person or by email. This process is now changing:
- You will submit your request or report the issue yourself via the online reporting portal.
- Reporting issues and submitting requests will be quicker and more transparent. You will be able to view the status of your request at any time and receive automatic updates.
- The Service Desk, as well as telephone and email support, will of course remain available to help you use the portal and to answer any questions. However, for most standard requests, the portal will be the quickest option.
Why are we introducing this new system?
Behind the scenes, the Service Desk has until now been working with an outdated system that required many steps to be processed manually. This was time-consuming and could sometimes lead to delays in handling requests.
By introducing the new reporting portal for staff, the Service Desk will be able to process requests more quickly and with fewer manual steps, resulting in a more efficient service.
