Security incident involving VOSviewer
A security incident recently occurred involving VOSviewer, a software tool developed by the CWTS and used by researchers worldwide. The incident was detected quickly, and immediate measures were taken to limit any potential impact.
The Security Operations Centre (SOC) is investigating the incident together with specialised partners. The situation is under control, and at present, there is no indication that university users have been affected. There is also no indication of a broader impact on other VOSviewer users. Users who are identified as potentially at risk will be contacted proactively.
