Storage environment upgrade: Monday 5 October from 18:00 – temporary no access
Do you have files on J:\ Workgroups, J:\ Research, J:\ Department or the P: environment? If so, you will not be able to access those files on Monday 5 October from 18:00 until approximately 20:00. In addition, you will not be able to view files in TOPdesk.
The university is carrying out a major upgrade to the storage environment for research and departmental data. During this work, we will be migrating:
- J:\ Workgroups
- J:\ Research
- J:\ Department
- The P: environment
- Storage facilities used by TOPdesk
User profiles will also be updated to ensure they are compatible with the new infrastructure. To minimise the impact on staff, students and teaching activities, the work will take place outside normal office hours.
If you need to access specific files during the update, we advise you to open them in advance and save them locally on your laptop or computer.
