Call: receive up to €2,000 for interfaculty collaboration on the theme of inequalities
The Leiden University research theme Inequalities awards small research grants of up to €2,000 to support new, interfaculty research collaborations on inequalities. A maximum of five grants will be awarded. Proposals can be submitted until 16 November 2026.
Inequalities is one of Leiden University's fifteen new interfaculty themes, covering both research and teaching. It brings together researchers and lecturers from Leiden University and LUMC who study the causes and consequences of inequality across domains such as health, education, income and wealth, access to justice, political power and the impact of climate change, and what can be done about it.
The small grants described here (for this round) are targeted at research collaborations. They are meant to help researchers from different faculties and disciplines work together, try out new ideas, and lay the groundwork for larger research projects within the theme.
Who can apply
The call is open to all Leiden University or LUMC employees, including PhD candidates. Each proposal involves at least two applicants from two different faculties
