We would like to invite you all to join and connect with potential employers or internship providers. This event will shape your outlook on the future:
- Get inspiration on what kind of jobs are available for a graduated archaeologist
- Ask questions about internship projects
- Listen to professionals in various positions
This year, the focus of LANCE will be on The Archaeologist of the Future, what skills are needed in the field, but also in a broader range of employability. We will have two very interesting panel discussions where we will discuss this theme. The first panel will be with members of our own staff, discussing their vision on future Archaeological skills. For the second panel we have invited Leiden Archaeology alumni, this discussion will focus on employability outside the beaten path.
Programme
You'll find LANCE from 15.00 - 17.00 at the top of the stairs and in the Reuvenshal at the Faculty of Archaeology. Several companies and external internship providers will be attending, such as BAAC, Vriens Archeo Flex, various museums like Rijksmuseum van Oudheden, but also other archaeology related organisations. Faculty members will present their fieldwork projects and internships opportunities. We will close the internship market with free drinks and snacks (17:00 – 19:00)!
