The Dutch Network Science Society (NetSci NL) Summer Symposium 2026 will be hosted at Leiden University’s Science Campus, on the 24th of June, 2026. This free, one-day event brings together researchers working on network science, complex networks, and social network analysis from across the Netherlands. The symposium aims to showcase the breadth and diversity of contemporary network science research while fostering interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration.
The programme features invited keynote presentations by leading researchers, lightning talks from members of the Dutch network science community, and networking opportunities throughout the day. Topics span both fundamental and applied research, including theoretical and methodological developments, network structure and dynamics, computational social science, and applications in the natural sciences, life sciences, engineering, humanities, and social sciences. The symposium concludes with an informal networking reception.
The event is also part of the Complex Networks strategic research theme of the Faculty of Science.
