In this bring-your-own-lunch discussion we will explore how access to opportunities is controlled within the discipline.
Key questions:
- What forms of gatekeeping are necessary in archaeology?
- When does selection become exclusion?
- Are informal networks part of professional development or a source of inequality?
- If gatekeeping is necessary, how can it be made fair?
