Leiden Learning & Innovation Centre (LLInC) and the University Leiden Academy (ULA) are collaborating to organise an event on the 23rd of November focusing on Education for Professionals, bringing together lecturers, coordinators, and partners to exchange knowledge, experiences, and practical examples.
Although a great deal is already happening within Leiden University surrounding the topic of Education for Professionals, we do not always know about each other’s initiatives. As a result, expertise often remains dispersed.
Because education for professionals requires a different approach from regular degree education, we will explore a range of questions including:

How do we design education that meets the learning needs of professionals?

What do developments such as flexible learning pathways, microcredentials, and learning communities mean for our educational offer?

How can we learn from existing initiatives within and beyond the university?
Through inspiring keynotes, workshops, and a networking lunch, we will explore what works in practice, where challenges lie, and what opportunities exist for the future of education for professionals.
Participants will leave with new insights, practical ideas for their own educational practice, a clearer overview of existing initiatives across the university, and a stronger network of colleagues working on similar challenges.
