The Faculty Academia in Motion (fAiM) team organises a Citizen Science workshop for FGGA researchers. Together with the Leiden Citizen Science Lab, this interactive workshop is designed for researchers to learn more about Citizen Science and the range of Citizen Science approaches and their impacts.

Whether you're collecting data on safety in neighbourhoods, participating in urban planning, or co-creating energy systems - examples of citizen engagement and participation exist at all stages of research and policy cycles. In this interactive workshop you will learn more about the wide range of practices that fall under the citizen science umbrella, their impacts and outcomes, and the underlying ethos that characterises citizen science.

Join us to:

  • Learn about the 10 principles of Citizen Science
  • Discuss the range of impacts and outcomes or participatory practices
  • Explore hands-on how such practices might be valuable or relevant in your own work

The workshop is co-organised by fAiM FGGA and the Leiden Citizen Science Lab.

For whom: any member of the FGGA research community (from PhD candidate to full professor). Registration is required. The deadline for registration is Wednesday 2 December.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
