Simone van der Hof joins Comparison Committee Online Content Moderation Project (PrOCoM)
Simone van der Hof is a member of the Comparison Committee set up as part of the Online Content Moderation Project (PrOCoM).
Within PrOCoM, during the period from 1 October 2023 to 1 April 2024, the possibilities of realising a low-threshold reporting facility as a trusted flagger for unlawful online content will be investigated by the Offlimits foundation within the framework of its Helpwanted programme. The comparison committee will advise on the assessment of reports to Helpwanted, in particular also reports on online phenomena that are not obviously unlawful. The project was commissioned by the Ministry of Justice and Security and the committee is chaired by ICT, privacy and internet consultancy ICTRecht.
