Prof. dr. Cramsey and Ms. Boróka Balogh participated in “Woman & Science” Event at the Residence of the Austrian Ambassador to The Netherlands
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Ambassador Bert Theuerman (Austrian Ambassador to The Netherlands) hosted a Coffeehouse Discussion exploring the position and impact of women in science and arts at his residence in The Hague.
Ms. Rowie Bovendeerd, a Policy Officer at the Austrian Embassy, assembled a lively panel which included Special Chair for Central European Studies in Leiden Prof. dr. Sarah Cramsey, Prof. Dr. Theresa Kuhn, Full Professor in the Capacity Group European Studies at the University of Amsterdam and Academic Director of the Amsterdam Center for European Studies, Ms. Margret Wibmer, a visual and performance artist, and Koštana Banović, a visual artist and convenor of the Eastern Neighbors Film Festival in The Hague. Ms. Boróka Balogh, a doctoral student at Leiden University, served as moderator for the event which culminated with a lively discussion and reception. The room stood at full-capacity and included women and men across ages and national backgrounds. More than ten of Prof. dr. Cramsey’s students from Leiden University attended the event as well.
