A Trouw journalist spent a day following the teaching programme of the minor The Mysterious Reality and turned it into a feature.
Leiden University developed this physics minor specifically for students without a science background. They learn about relativity and quantum physics without having to master complicated mathematics. Particle physicist Ivo van Vulpen believes it is essential ‘to bring the worlds of humanities and sciences closer together’. In his view, every university should offer a minor like this.
