If you cycle to work, you can use the University’s bicycle racks or lockable bicycle sheds; to use a lockable shed, however, you need a bicycle pass. At some locations you can also borrow a staff bicycle.

The Budget report is issued every four months and gives an overview of the financial results of the University as a whole and of the individual units. This provides information about our results and helps us maintain financial control.

Alongside central government funds, the tuition fee is an important source of University income. The tuition fee also counts as the first stream of income.

As a Leiden University employee you automatically accrue pension via the Algemeen Burgerlijk Pensioenfond (ABP). As a rule, you will retire once you reach the legal AOW age.
