Pilot: new scheme for participation of un-enrolled students in exams
From 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026, the university will run a pilot concerning exam participation. In this pilot, students who have not (timely) enrolled for an exam will be given the opportunity to take part after all. This is considered a last resort. Students will be informed about the pilot through announcements on the website and in newsletters.
For students, this means:
- Students must enrol according to the enrolment protocol
- Students who report themselves 0–4 days before the exam will no longer be registered. However, they may report to the exam location on the day of the exam.
- At the exam location, students must sign a “conditional participation” form and will be placed on a waiting list.
- Participation is not guaranteed - students may only take part if there is space available.
- Unenrolled students will only start – in the order of the waiting list – after 45 minutes. Enrolled students who arrive late will be given priority.
- The exam duration will not be extended: the end time is the same as for registered students.
- The student is not entitled to any additional facilities, such as extra time for students with disabilities.
If the pilot scheme causes too much disruption to students who enrolled on time, the university may decide to end the pilot early.
