Switch to Zorg en Zekerheid health insurance before 1 January 2026
The University has reached a collective health insurance agreement with Zorg en Zekerheid. If you would like health insurance with a big discount, good cover and excellent service, switch to Zorg en Zekerheid before 1 January 2026.
Generous cover at no extra expense
The cheapest basic insurance in 2026 (the Zorg Gemak policy) costs € 150,45 per month. And you will receive generous cover with most of the supplementary policies. Family members also benefit at no extra expense.
- 15% discount on the premium for most of the Zorg Zeker and Zorg Vrij supplementary policies*;
- up to € 252 discount per year at a maximum voluntary excess of € 500.
- generous allowances at no extra expense for most supplementary policies;
- dental care: up to €100 from age 18
- physiotherapy: up to 5 additional treatments
- substitute informal care: till €3.500
- sleep therapy course: €200
- menopause advice: €150
- mindfulness training: €300 (once only)
Already have Zorg en Zekerheid insurance?
If you already participate in the Zorg en Zekerheid collective insurance scheme, you do not need to do anything. If you already have Zorg en Zekerheid insurance but do not participate in our collective insurance scheme, you can arrange to do so before 1 January 2026, via the Zorg en Zekerheid website. Family members also benefit from this offer: you can easily add family members via MijnZZ.

You can easily compare all the Zorg en Zekerheid insurance policies in the online insurance shop. There is a suitable policy for everyone: from low to extensive coverage. You can also take out insurance directly and Zorg en Zekerheid will cancel your current insurance.
The Dutch government decides what types of care are reimbursed under the basic health insurance policy.
