New Data Management Protocol for researchers at Leiden Law School
The new Research Data Management Protocol is now available for all researchers at Leiden Law School. This protocol provides clear guidelines for the responsible handling of research data – from collection and storage, to archiving and sharing. It is important that all staff, PhD candidates, and external researchers who conduct research at our faculty familiarise themselves with this document.
What is expected of you?
- Data Management Plan (DMP): Anyone planning to collect data during their research project must prepare a DMP. An sjabloon is available to assist you.
- Personal Data: Collecting personal data (names, addresses, etc.)? Then you must conduct a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA). Contact the privacy officer.
- Training: PhD candidates are required to complete the training datamanagement.
Important: Proper data management is essential for the quality and integrity of our research. The protocol ensures that data is Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR).
