Use of AI in education – framework for Humanities staff

3 September 2026

As of this academic year, Rules and guidelines apply to Humanities lecturers regarding the use of AI in teaching and assessment

These rules and guidelines address relevant legislation and regulations (e.g. GDPR, European AI Act etc.), elementary AI literacy, communication regarding permitted AI use by students, the use of safe AI tools, and AI-resilient assessment.

The introduction of these frameworks is part of a larger plan of action through which the Faculty attempts to address the challenges and opportunities that the rise of AI presents for teaching and assessment. Therefore, our Faculty is also placing extra emphasis on advice and support regarding the impact of AI on learning, teaching, and assessment during this year.
