The fact that university education is about more than mere knowledge transfer, is now commonplace. Besides knowledge and insight, students must have the right skills to apply that knowledge and insight in education and on the labour market.

We are currently working hard at faculty and university level on how to capture these skills in education, for example by introducing so-called skills tags in the study guide. We want to make it easier for students to understand with what skills we are preparing them for the job market.

This also involves awareness on the part of lecturers to be able to provide specific skills, but above all to communicate more clearly about it. After all, many of the transferable skills we want to teach our students are already being taught. We therefore invite all lecturers within the Faculty of Humanities to the Lunchbyte: Transferable Skills.

Based on real examples, we will discuss challenges and practical tools to stimulate skills development in students and what challenges lecturers may encounter.

The language of communication during this Lunchbyte XL is English.

Please note that lunch will be provided for all participants who attend in person.
