Have you ever wondered which other researchers at Leiden University and LUMC are working on topics related to aging, later life, and society? This is your chance to find out!
We warmly invite you to a Leiden University network meeting for experts, researchers, and educationalists working in the field of Aging & Society across Leiden University and Leiden University Medical Center. The aim of this gathering is to foster interdisciplinary connections, encourage collaboration across faculties, and create opportunities for exchange and matchmaking.
As the aging of our society presents increasingly complex challenges, addressing these issues demands innovative, interdisciplinary approaches. This need is also reflected in the growing emphasis by funding agencies on interfaculty collaboration in grant proposals. By connecting across disciplines, we can strengthen our research, broaden our perspectives, and increase our impact.
To make the meeting even more enjoyable, drinks and bites will be provided — a perfect setting to mingle and spark new ideas.
Whether your work touches on aging from a medical, psychological, social, cultural, or policy perspective, we believe this meeting will be a valuable opportunity to meet like-minded colleagues, share ideas, and explore potential collaborations.
This is an open invite to all employees of Leiden University and LUMC who feel related to the field of Aging & Society in a broad sense, so feel free to forward this invite to colleagues who may be interested.
We look forward to seeing you there and building bridges across disciplines!
Warm regards,
Jacobijn Gussekloo (LUMC dept. of Public Health & Primary Care)
Ineke van der Ham (Leiden University, Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences)
Miriam Haaksma (LUMC dept. of Internal Medicine, Division of Gerontology and Geriatrics)
